CREATIVE WOMEN OF PINNACLE PEAK
Frequently Asked Questions

How did Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak get started?
In 1991 four ladies decided they wanted to give back to the community.  They invited twenty of their friends and agreed to form Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak.  Since their initial meeting, CWPP has made a substantial difference in the lives of children in-need.   Several of  CWPP’s original founding members continue to be actively involved in the organization today.

What is the mission of Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak
The mission of CWPP is to select and fund charities that support at-risk women and children while providing a forum in which its members share ideas, talents and friendships.

What are the  requirements of membership?
Members are required to attend at least four general membership meetings in a calendar year, attend at least one fundraising event, serve on at least one committee, and join one agency-site-visit in a two-year period.
Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month, September through May.

How does the community feel about Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak?
CWPP’s accomplishments have been noted and honored.  They were selected by the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce for inclusion in its “History Hall of Fame” in recognition of their philanthropic work.  Additionally, Homeward Bound bestowed its highest award, the “Children’s Champion Award” to the organization for their “immeasurable commitment and energy to the fundamental needs of children.”

Why should I donate to Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak?
Because every dollar donated to CWPP goes directly to charity.  None of the money raised is used for administrative costs.   CWPP has no salaried employees and no office.

How can I contribute to Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak?
Your tax-deductible gift may be made by cash or check (payable to Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak) and mailed to:
CWPP
8711 E. Pinnacle Peak Road, PMB 244
Scottsdale, AZ.  85255.

You may also pledge your donation and make payments through the year.

All the fundraising events are done on a volunteer basis by members.  Most importantly, CWPP is thorough in its selection process and diligent in following up on each grant recipient, which ensures that your donation is being used in the best possible manner.

How can my donation make a difference in my community?
Your donation, coupled with those of the many partners of CWPP, helps to mount an exceptional defense against poverty.  It ensures that women and children of domestic violence have a safe place to live, that children who are homeless, or fall below the poverty level, will have a safe place to learn and that individuals with special needs will receive the support they need in helping reach their full potential.
